The Effects of Global Warming

Global Warming is not only harmful to us, but it is also harmful to other creatures such as fish in the sea. When the temperature rises, the water temperature at the streams can be lower than the usual temperature, causing the cold-water fish to suffer. Soon, these cold-water fish might be replaced by warm-water fish, as the temperature is rising every year by a few degrees.

In India, the temperature has reached 40 degrees and this is unbearable as many of the Indians suffer from dehydration, which will cause more health problems later. Kids and women are suffering along with the men as well. The melting of the ice at the north pole also causing too much fresh water in the salt water. This will change the salinity of the water and thus change the water currents, and affects the living creatures in the sea.

We can see that everything is changing, from the ecosystem to the plants and everything else. Plants in the US and Canada are changing due to the different temperatures, and there might be more plants and animals becoming extinct, as they cannot cope with the change of environment. There are too many animals and plants that became extinct a long time ago, and history is about to repeat itself if we do not take immediate action.

Simple Ways To Help Prevent Global Warming at Home

Some say that Global Warming is a hoax, while most people believe it. The truth is Global Warming is happening and if we don’t do something to curb it, it will get even worse. Earth will become very hot as we all suffer in the extreme heat. This will eventually lead to more problems, including health and environmental concerns. Of course, we never know what will happen in the future, which is why we need to take precautions and prevent Global Warming from worsening now.

There are a few ways we can help to save the Earth, starting from within our homes. It is very important to use less energy, such as electricity. This is because using electricity will cause more heat. Imagine the whole world using electricity - the heat generated can cause Global Warming. This is why we need to control our electricity usage, use it only when it is necessary and shut off every electrical appliance at the power point when not in use.

Another way to help save the Earth is to reduce the use of air conditioning. This is because air conditioning uses up a lot of energy and releases CFC into the atmosphere - this destroys the ozone layer that protects us from harmful UV rays. Other than that, planting a tree (or several) will help to reduce the level of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. This is proven to be helpful because trees produce oxygen when they absorb carbon dioxide.

Prevent Global Warming

Global warming has become a very big issue. This is because global warming concerns the whole world. Global warming is a phenomena where the Earth is becoming hotter than before. The temperature is rising, ice in the artic is melting and drought is happening frequently. This is a very serious issue because if the temperature keeps on rising, there is a possibility our Earth is no longer suitable for us to live on.

The most effective way to prevent global warming is to avoid cutting down too many trees. Trees are important because trees can absorb carbon dioxide in order to produce oxygen. When there is too much carbon dioxide in the air, heat builds up and the Earth becomes hot. This is also known as the green house effect. Besides, trees produce oxygen for us to breathe so without oxygen, we die. The most important thing is to remember to plant trees to replace the trees that are being cut down. This is to make sure that there are enough trees and we don’t find ourselves short on them.

Imagine if there are no trees on Earth - there will be no oxygen and more carbon dioxide. We will have no place to live and in the end, we will all be extinct. This is the worst case scenario, and although it seems that it will not happen now but in the years to come, there is a possibility that it will happen, so this is why we need to prevent global warming from spreading for the sake of all of us.

Carbon Dioxide and Green House Effect

The green house effect is associated with carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is the major cause of the green house effect along with other gases such as methane. The green house effect is when the radiation from the sun is reflected on Earth, and the radiation is supposed to be able to bounce out to into space, but then it is trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere; heat is trapped and therefore causes Global Warming. Generally, Global Warming is worse when there is more energy being trapped in the atmosphere.

Years ago, we could feel the cool breeze but now all we can feel on our skin is heat. There are no more cool breezes, as there are less trees and more carbon dioxide. With more trees being cut down every day all over the world, Global Warming is going to get worse. However, if we can do something to help to save the Earth, I am sure that we can prevent further damage. Still, we need all the help we can get and it is best to have everyone on Earth to contribute towards saving the Earth. It is very important to understand Global Warming and the effects on all of us, because we live on Earth and Earth is the only planet that can support us all. There is no way we want to lose that!

Global Warming - The Melting Ice in the Artic

Have you read the news about Earth lately? Since global warming was first described as a worsening condition, there have been many reports about the melting of the Artic ice. While some of you might think that there is nothing wrong about the melting of ice, do you know that if the whole artic melts, the water could cover the whole Earth (or at least over 50% of the land areas), meaning there will be more floods and people could die.

We know that Artic is covered with ice, but lately there is more water than ice in the Artic. This is dangerous because the artic polar bears are losing their natural habitat for survival. The polar bears depend on the ice for survival and without the ice, they lose their habitat and most of them die away. If this continues happening, soon the polar bears will be extinct.

You might be wondering why the ice is melting. The Earth is becoming very hot, with more carbon dioxide being trapped in the atmosphere. Cutting down more trees will reduce the natural resources to absorb all the carbon dioxide in order to produce oxygen. This is why there is more heat and the temperature is rising. We can imagine the Earth being cooked, like it is in a big pot. Soon, all the ice will melt and we will all be extinct.
